Class Technology Solutions Ltd and Easy4u were delighted to announce the opening of a brand new service centre this week.
The centre provides a fit for purpose, professional space where laptops and tablets used by UK schools under the Easy4u subscription scheme can be maintained, serviced and repaired by the experienced and dedicated technical staff at Class Technology Solutions.
Class Technology Solutions (CTS) has been providing IT managed services exclusively to UK schools for over 15 years. This includes managing the full IT provision in schools (including the placement of onsite staff), project management and delivery, consultancy, back filling, and school staff training and development.
Managing director Neal Grayston said: “We recognise that good use of technology in schools can have a huge impact on student outcomes and teacher workload. This significant investment into this dedicated school laptop service centre by Class Technology Solutions is just one of the ways we are addressing the barriers to 1-2-1 standardised devices in schools under the Easy4u education laptop scheme.
“We are very proud to be leading the way on providing innovative solutions to enhance digital learning in UK schools and look forward to supporting students to reach their potential.”
Paul Martin, head of IT services at Christ’s Hospital School in West Sussex said:
“At Christ’s Hospital School we are thrilled to be partnering with Easy4U, the new and exciting rental subscription service that provides an accessible and affordable digital education for everyone. It has proved to be a really successful scheme to deliver devices to our students, and I would certainly recommend this to other schools.’
Easy4u is an education laptop subscription service which provides certainty of provision for both school and parents. The company’s aim is to ensure affordable and appropriate digital devices are accessible to all students and school staff. Education grade laptops are rented to the school or parents for an affordable monthly fee.
The rental includes a full wrap around support package including extended warranties and insurance, repairs and replacements, water-resistant protective covers, and much more.
Subscriptions run from 24 to 60 months, and at the end of the rental term the device is returned to Easy4u and the deposit is returned to the school or parent.
One parent recently said: “The peace of mind of knowing I was renting a device that was approved by the school, and then not having to worry about insurance claims, or what he would do in class if his laptop was out for repair for days on end was worth its weight in gold…although actually it was only a few pounds a month! I just signed up online via the school, the laptop was delivered, and I’ve not really thought about it since.”
