David Brown will be the new headteacher at Weston Green School in Surrey, Bellevue Education has announced.
Since 2000, David has been in education, most recently serving as deputy head at Greenfield School in Woking. David was instrumental in the design of a unique curriculum at Greenfield School that aimed to foster children who are well-rounded, globally aware, and empathetic.
He also oversaw a move to a different school site, doubled the number of extracurricular clubs, improved staff development and created an AI curriculum for Years 5 and 6.
David is an ISI schools inspector and an INSET trainer and conference speaker.
David’s hobbies include spending time with his family, reading self-improvement or pop-psychology books, supporting his local football team or cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
David said: “I am very much looking forward to building on the excellent provision at Weston Green, giving children the tools to take advantage of the amazing opportunities this ever-changing world can give them.
“I am a team-player and am excited about forging genuine and positive relationships with the pupils, staff, and parents of Weston Green so that we can work together to help the children follow their passions, develop their soft-skills and achieve their absolute maximum academic potential.
“It will be an absolute privilege to succeed Mrs Evans and lead a school with such strong foundations and much potential. I cannot wait to get started.”
David will take over from the current head, Sarah Evans, in September 2024.
