IGB International School, located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia is opening its virtual doors to hundreds of educators from around the world as the school hosts its first IGBIS Community Conference.
The event from November 6 to 7, will allow educators from around the world to participate in high-quality professional development and learning across the themes that are integral to IGBIS’ mission and values encompassing inclusion, wellbeing and inquiry.
Over the two days of keynotes, workshops and “NanoPD” sessions, educators will be able to engage in a variety of learning activities and experiences, connect with colleagues from around the world via multiple sessions, conference-dedicated social media channels and chats, as well as start professional learning communities around topics of shared interest.
This year’s keynote speakers and main workshop facilitators are Trevor Mackenzie and Andy Vasily; two brilliant educators, authors and creators of books and podcasts of incredible educational value.
Trevor MacKenzie is an experienced teacher, author, keynote speaker and consultant who has worked in schools throughout Australia, Asia, North America, South Africa and Europe.
Andy Vasily is a pedagogical coordinator, workshop leader, and podcaster based at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia. He has taught at International Baccalaureate schools in five different countries over the past 20 years.
The IGBIS Community Conference aims to be a biannual event based on high-quality contributions from top educators in international and public school networks.
