The great thing about working with large language models like ChatGPT and Google Gemini is that they are trained on (you guessed it) large amounts of language. This means they have a brilliant understanding of how language works in a wide variety of contexts. This enables you to both create resources on an infinite number of topics and then transpose them in many different ways.
In this short video, I show you how to create a piece of non-fiction writing and change the reading age. This is great for students who want to access the same topics as their peers but struggle with age-appropriate vocabulary.
For example, in the video I create a blog article on Elon Musk suitable for a 15-year-old, then create a second post for a student with a reading age of 8. I then create vocabulary lists and multiple-choice questions around that resource.
As you can no doubt imagine, the potential to support excellent differentiation is huge. I’m sure there are plenty of use cases you can explore from this.
