The autumn term marks the start of a research-driven tech product, the Digital Dashboard Enterprise Service (DES), with a soft launch in the school sector.
The service is designed to support schools and trusts to successfully manage their digital channels and offer guidance to help grow efficiently and intentionally. A service that came about as a result of research conducted, to support school marketers to efficiently streamline their online activity saving time and money.
The 2022 Social Media Survey – primary research with school staff
In 2022, Marketing Advisers for Schools oversaw a research survey, which aimed to identify the main digital marketing challenges that schools and multi-academy trusts (MATs) face. It was found that 65 per cent of schools do not use a social media scheduling tool to plan content and approximately half of schools do not plan out their social media content either.
“Many schools grapple to keep track of their online and social media activity.”
In addition, a good proportion of schools (41 per cent) have used online paid adverts; however, they’re generally administered by internal school marketing who can struggle for time. Many schools grapple to keep track of their online and social media activity and would benefit from having access to helpful guidance and a support tool at the point they need it.
Presenting the solution: the Digital Dashboard Enterprise Service (DES).
Over the last year, the Marketing Advisers team has listened to their trusted school clients, taken on feedback, and let the results of the survey guide the creation of an integration product that will seamlessly support schools and their staff.
“Both schools and trusts are already reaping the benefits.”
So, DES, designed for both schools and multi-academy trusts, aims to simplify the process by taking online content from creation, to publishing to reviewing and analysing.
The subscription service continues to be rolled out, with both schools and trusts already reaping the benefits. The soft launch of “DES” starts during the autumn term of 2023.
The stand-out features that make DES unique are:
- Tailored secure platform access with unique user login for schools and trusts.

Why use DES?
Nick Richardson, director of Marketing Advisers for Schools, comments: “We are proud to present the DES Service and the ambition it seeks to achieve. The dashboard is designed for both schools and multi-academy trusts, to ensure that school staff no longer have the same hard struggles. The service actively encourages marketers to set out their own digital activity objectives and then the service will be the tool to help plan, implement and review on-going.
“Crucially, we can help many more schools manage and delegate their digital marketing activity. We are actively helping schools to Shine Even Brighter, each in their own unique way, and we couldn’t be more excited.”
