Nick Gallop, the head of Stamford School, has been appointed to a new post at Brighton College International, Bangkok.
Mr Gallop is expected to take up his headship in Thailand at the end of the academic year.
A LinkedIn post by the Bangkok school said: “He has taught at some of the biggest and most academically successful schools in England, and has strong connections to our founding school in Brighton UK – along with a huge knowledge of international education and pupil development. We can’t wait to welcome Mr Gallop and his family to Bangkok.”
Mr Gallop said: “I am delighted to be appointed, and thoroughly looking forward to leading this superb school.”
Stamford’s chair of governors, Nicholas Rudd-Jones, said: “During his time at Stamford, Nick has successfully navigated challenges arguably greater than any of his predecessors in our school’s 500 years of history, by leading his staff and students through the unprecedented events of the past two years.
“He has made an excellent contribution to Stamford School, and to the Stamford Endowed Schools as a whole, but this is an exciting new chapter for him, and the students, staff and governors of Brighton College International can look forward to welcoming him as headmaster.”
“We wish him all the very best as he takes his next steps.”
