I feel very privileged to have been appointed as the new head teacher of Sacred Heart School in Wadhurst, East Sussex. I have been involved in education for 13 years and have relocated with my husband and two young children into the area, having previously taught in Catholic Primary Schools in Bromley and more recently, in Harrow-on-the-Hill.
I am passionate about education and providing children with the very best opportunities, enabling them to feel secure, loved and valued, to aim high and achieve well. I have completed a Masters in Education focused around my love of literature and the ability to inspire children through carefully planned, imaginative and creative lessons.
Sacred Heart is a happy and successful school that staff, children and our families are proud to be a part of. As a small community, we know each child individually, we recognise and encourage their strengths and support them in overcoming areas of difficulty.
We acknowledge the unique gifts of each child and instil a strong sense of self-worth by celebrating personal achievements. Gospel values are central to the school and through our mission statement: Love, Learn, Grow, Worship, our children learn the importance of striving to be the best that they can in all aspects of life.
They can then develop into thriving, confident and caring individuals who reach their full potential and are ready to take on the challenges of the modern world. We have dedicated staff who provide a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum that promotes the spiritual, moral, emotional and physical development of each child. We provide high quality teaching and learning opportunities and experiences based on equally high expectations of every child.
