Godolphin School in Salisbury has announced it has appointed Jenny Price as head from January 2023.
Ms Price has been deputy head pastoral at Godolphin since 2018. She studied music at Durham University before gaining a PGCE from Cambridge. She took up her first teaching post at Bryanston School where she taught music and was housemistress of Greenleaves House. In 2012, Ms Price moved to Westonbirt School as deputy head pastoral.
Chair of governors, Sir Nick Pope, said: “Jenny offers passion, energy, enthusiasm, spirit and drive. She also embodies those characteristics that make Godolphin such a unique school. She has the total support of the governors and senior management team and, with her experience, is uniquely well placed to lead the school at the executive level from day one.
Jenny Price said: “I am thrilled to have been appointed as the next head of Godolphin. I am truly committed to the school and believe firmly in its values and purpose and look forward to steering the school through to its 300th Anniversary in 2026 and to shaping the next chapter in Godolphin’s history.”
Jenny Price will take up the position in January 2023 when current head, Emma Hattersley, moves to a new role in executive search in London, after leading the school for nine years.
