With the publication of this year’s (I)GCSE results, the Fifth Form at Sherborne School demonstrated consistency and excellence across all subjects. A impressive third of boys achieved an outstanding ten or more grades 9-7 whilst eight boys secured ten or more grade 9s.
Headmaster Dr Dominic Luckett expressed his admiration for the boys and staff who achieved such impressive outcomes amidst the pressures and uncertainties of the past eighteen months:
He said: “In gaining these grades, our boys have shown themselves to be possessed not only of great academic ability but also high levels of grit, determination and adaptability.
“At the same time, I cannot praise highly enough the inspiration and guidance given to them, over many months, by our talented and dedicated team of teaching and support staff. I am grateful to them all.”
Equipped with such excellent (I)GCSE results, Sherborne’s boys can embark with great confidence and ambition upon their Sixth Form studies. They will continue to excel not just academically but in sport, the arts and service to others.
