School leaders, marketers, admissions staff and bursars have until Friday (March 31) to take part in research that provides an on-going barometer of the independent school sector.
The Confidence Index 2023, run by MTM Consulting in partnership with School Management Plus and AMCIS, asks professionals in UK independent schools for their opinions on the realities of leading and managing schools, together with their thoughts about the future.
This year, for the first time, the survey also includes a section for professionals working in school development and we look forward to hearing their feedback.
Last year, approximately 10 per cent of UK independent schools took part in the survey, and with your help we are aiming to make this year’s survey even bigger. This year’s results will also be launched at the annual AMCIS Conference in May, where a live panel will discuss the findings.
Last year, The Confidence Index 2022 revealed that school managers believe wellbeing and sustainability are the central issues for schools to focus on as they adapt to a post-Covid world. It also showed that most of these professionals believe that the possibility of VAT on school fees is the greatest long-term threat to the independent sector. Heads were also concerned about increases to Teachers’ Pension Scheme payments. Staff recruitment was also a major concern.
